​Young Kings & Queens College Prep & Mentoring is a mentoring group that focuses on building up African American youth. Our overarching goal is to provide youth with the opportunity to attain post-secondary education, enter their career, join the military, or attend technical school. We do this through mentoring, academic advisement, literacy activities, scholarships, college application seminars, community service, team building, unity, counseling groups, career readiness programs, job-skills training, and much more. The purpose is to get more African American youth in post-secondary education in lieu of the streets and jail. This program will give young men and women an opportunity to explore their post-secondary option and open their view to the world instead of what they see daily in their community.
